Busy Busy

Well things around here have been busy. I have been scrapping like crazy. I am on 3 Creative Teams now which is great! There are so many talented designers out there and I am honored to be able to work with their kits. Some nights I am up til the wee hours of the night trying to get pages done, but I have been lucky because when Mathew Sleeps I get time to play! That is probably the only time I am going to be able to do my pages once Mat is home. We must enjoy Family time also!

Mat Sr should be coming home soon and we are very excited. Paige asks for him each day and wants me to pick him up each night. It will be nice for him to be home so that he can tuck her in at night. We were able to talk to him on the computer a couple times and he was able to see us, but we could not see him = ( It was nice to have him see the kids though.

I am trying to work on getting Mathew to sleep through the night. So far it is not happening . We had a couple nights where he would sleep from 12 til 5 which is excellent for me lol.. but now he is back to wanting to be up a few times in between. He must be hitting a growth spurt! He is doing great with eating table food. He loves anything with some texture that he can pick up with his fingers! He is not liking his Babyfood as much because he can not hold it! He is becoming more confident on his feet. Today he was pushing around Paige's Baby stroller. I was impressed. Just a few more days and he can take off... he just needs to wait for his daddy to make it home! I'm afraid though that we have hit the shy stage with Mathew. He will not cry if someone talks to him, but he does hide his head into my chest of shuns away. I hope he doesn't do that to daddy for too long!

Paige is learning a lot at school. She just learned all about Johnny Appleseed. Her class made applesauce with apples we sent in. They are also learning about comparison (big and small) And order.. biggest to smallest. They were working on their names also. Paige has known the letters in her name for a while now and has been able to write the letters. They are working on doing the upper case 1st letter and the rest lower case. She caught on to that on Sunday, the monday before she went to school to talk about it. She is so smart and loves to learn. We have been doing adding and subtracting using objects and fingers. She can add and subtract using the numbers 1-5 now. Pretty good for a preschooler! She is very interested in Reading. We read every night to eachother.. first me to her and then we choose a page to read together..I help her sound out the words and she says them one by one. I am sure by the end of the yr she will be reading more words. Another thing that they are going to work on with them this week is letter sounds. I believe that they are going to do the sounds of the letters in their names. Paige and I were going over the alphabet and I would ask her... what sound does ____ make. and she would respond. Most of the time the sounds were correct. But, she has a hard time with the vowels (e,i,o,u - she knows A )though so I guess those will be the ones we work on here at home. On Thursday we get to do a Family project!! I can't wait to find out what it is going to be!! I just hope Daddy is home to create it with us!!!

Bath for 2

I used the kit above to create this layout of the kids in the tub. They love taking a bath together and helping eachother out. Look at their Soapy heads! LOL

Some new Pictures of Miss Paige

It seems to me that I post more pictures of Mathew on here maybe because I am with him all day while Paige is in school, but I do have pictures of her too. If you check out the layouts that I create, they both are definately my main focus. The one problem I have with Miss Paige now is that she does not want her photo taken. I guess I have taken way too many of her since she was a baby and now has become annoyed easily when I break out the camera. Oh well .. take what you can get! Here they are.

Mathew's Appointment

So Mathew had his Appointment for his 9 mo check up. He is now weighing in at 21lbs 12oz and is almost 29 inches long. If you compare him to Paige at a yr, he is 1lb 3 oz heavier and 2.5 inches longer. So he will not be a little shrimp like she is. Everything looked fine with him. No shots! Thank goodness! And he did very well with no crying until we were leaving the clinic.

Some new things he is doing...

  1. Saying HI and waving.

  2. Waving bye bye

  3. Lift's his arms when you say "SO BIG"

  4. Claps his hands to music

  5. Dances to music

  6. Crawling on Hands and knees (no more low crawl)

  7. Stands unassisted for short amount of time

  8. Cruises furniture

  9. Eats table food and hates many of his Babyfoods

  10. Sats MAMA and DADA

  11. Smiles and waves to himself in the mirror

  12. Plays tag down the hall

  13. loves the vacuum/helps clean with it

  14. Walks holding onto mommy's legs

  15. Plays with his crib toys, turning music on and off

I am sure there are a lot more but I just can't think of them right now.

Freebie Paper Pack on Angela Niehaus's Blog

Here is the paper pack that I have been talking about below.. check it out! Great girlie colors but just use swapshop and you can change them to almost everything! Click the photo to go to her blog!

Here is a layout I did using the papers above and swapping the colors...

You need to pick these up!

These frames are great! I love them... they are already put together and it makes it so easy to use. Check out Angela's blog for the paperpack that matches them!

Here are some of the layouts I made using them and some of Angela's other products!

Above I used the frame from the kit abover as well as her papers from her freebies on her blog.

For this page I used the frames above and again used the paperpack freebies from her blog. I just used an overlay over the papers placing the brown on top and then burning it down to create the deeper colors.

For this page I used Angelas Savannah Suset paper pack... see below... and the all Framed up frames... I recolored them using Swapsop.

some new layouts

This is a two page layout I made using Bannwewoman's Little Merissa Kit found at scrappinfreestyle. I altered one of Becky Flecks PageMaps to create this layout.

The layout is of my daughter who is now 4 and has a huge attitude most of the time lol but she is such a joy and I know that it is just one of those stages she will be going through.
