Busy Busy

Well things around here have been busy. I have been scrapping like crazy. I am on 3 Creative Teams now which is great! There are so many talented designers out there and I am honored to be able to work with their kits. Some nights I am up til the wee hours of the night trying to get pages done, but I have been lucky because when Mathew Sleeps I get time to play! That is probably the only time I am going to be able to do my pages once Mat is home. We must enjoy Family time also!

Mat Sr should be coming home soon and we are very excited. Paige asks for him each day and wants me to pick him up each night. It will be nice for him to be home so that he can tuck her in at night. We were able to talk to him on the computer a couple times and he was able to see us, but we could not see him = ( It was nice to have him see the kids though.

I am trying to work on getting Mathew to sleep through the night. So far it is not happening . We had a couple nights where he would sleep from 12 til 5 which is excellent for me lol.. but now he is back to wanting to be up a few times in between. He must be hitting a growth spurt! He is doing great with eating table food. He loves anything with some texture that he can pick up with his fingers! He is not liking his Babyfood as much because he can not hold it! He is becoming more confident on his feet. Today he was pushing around Paige's Baby stroller. I was impressed. Just a few more days and he can take off... he just needs to wait for his daddy to make it home! I'm afraid though that we have hit the shy stage with Mathew. He will not cry if someone talks to him, but he does hide his head into my chest of shuns away. I hope he doesn't do that to daddy for too long!

Paige is learning a lot at school. She just learned all about Johnny Appleseed. Her class made applesauce with apples we sent in. They are also learning about comparison (big and small) And order.. biggest to smallest. They were working on their names also. Paige has known the letters in her name for a while now and has been able to write the letters. They are working on doing the upper case 1st letter and the rest lower case. She caught on to that on Sunday, the monday before she went to school to talk about it. She is so smart and loves to learn. We have been doing adding and subtracting using objects and fingers. She can add and subtract using the numbers 1-5 now. Pretty good for a preschooler! She is very interested in Reading. We read every night to eachother.. first me to her and then we choose a page to read together..I help her sound out the words and she says them one by one. I am sure by the end of the yr she will be reading more words. Another thing that they are going to work on with them this week is letter sounds. I believe that they are going to do the sounds of the letters in their names. Paige and I were going over the alphabet and I would ask her... what sound does ____ make. and she would respond. Most of the time the sounds were correct. But, she has a hard time with the vowels (e,i,o,u - she knows A )though so I guess those will be the ones we work on here at home. On Thursday we get to do a Family project!! I can't wait to find out what it is going to be!! I just hope Daddy is home to create it with us!!!
